Chanda Hinton and Erik Weihenmayer photographed at the 4th Annual People to Know 2009 An event to raise awareness and funds for the Chanda Plan Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life for people with physical disabilities through education and funds to access complementary and alternative health care.
The emcees for the evening were Dayle Cedars, 7 News Anchor & Sam Adams from Rocky Mountain News

Keynote Speaker was Erik Weihenmayer the only blind person to have climbed the "Seven Summits," the tallest peak on every continent. He has scaled the 3000 foot rock face of El Capitan, skied down the tallest peak in Europe, and guided Tibetan blind teenagers to 21,500 feet on the north side of Mt Everest. Erik is also a prolific speaker and author of two books.
